AC Milan signs Diego Laxalt, Samuel Castillejo on long-term basis

Rome: AC Milan on Friday announced it had reached agreements to sign Spanish forward Samuel Castillejo and Uruguayan midfielder Diego Laxalt on transfer from Villarreal and Genoa respectively. The Serie A club said both players signed long-term contracts, without revealing their duration.

"AC Milan are delighted to announce the signings of Spanish forward Samuel Castillejo Azuaga ("Samu") and Uruguayan midfielder Diego Sebastian Laxalt Suarez ("Diego") from Villarreal CF and Genoa CFC respectively," the club said in a statement. The 23-year-old Castillejo made his La Liga debut with his hometown club Malaga before joining Villarreal, where he has scored 11 goals in 127 appearances over the past three seasons. IANS
