AC Peer Team to visit Tezpur University

Tezpur, May 14: A high powered 10-member peer team of tiol Assessment and Accreditation Council (AC) will visit Tezpur University on May 16. This will be the third cycle of accreditation to the University. The last accreditation took place in 2010.
Raj Kiran Doley, Media Coorditor, Tezpur University, said that the team would be led by the chairperson, Prof. Anil K. Bhatgar, former Vice Chancellor of Pondicherry University and present CSIR-Chair Professor, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad. The other members of the team are Prof.(Dr) M. A. Sudhir, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Prof.(Dr) Subhansu Bandhopadhyay, University of Calcutta, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, TISS, Mumbai, Prof Supriya Chaudhuri, Jadavpur University, Prof. Subodh Kumar Jain, HS Gour Central University, Prof. Madan Mohan Chaturvedi, University of Delhi, Prof.(Dr) MR Pranesh, former Professor of IIT-Cheni, Prof (Dr.) Varider Sahni, SLIET, Punjab, Prof.(Dr) Bharat S. Chaudhari, Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
Dr BS Madhukar, Adviser AC, Bangalore will also join the Peer Team. “During the visit of AC Peer Team, the members will assess and evaluate teaching and co-curricular activities, research work and extension and infrastructure facilities of the University. To this end, they will hold meetings with the Vice Chancellor, heads of the Departments, Deans and other members of the University. They will also examine all records maintained by the University,” the media coorditor of the Central University said.
