Actor admitted in city hospital

GUWAHATI, May 1: An assistant director cum actor, Anabil Mahanta was admitted in a critical head injury on Tuesday evening at Nemcare hospital following a grievous road accident. According to a source, when the actor was riding on his Schooty, a speedy Bolero hit him from behind at Bhangagarh and apparently fled the spot.  In a severe condition, some of the locals present in the spot immediately rushed him to GMCH. However, considering the severity, the victim’s friends shifted him to Nemcare hospital in the later evening. Mahanta is a permanent resident of Lakhimpur district and has been residing in Guwahati since years.
