Additional District Magistrate Tinsukia Prohibited Carry Of Plastic Bags

TINSUKIA: In view of extensive use of non-biodegradable plastic carry bags that create an unhygienic condition by clogging sewers and drains, the Additional District Magistrate Tinsukia, Gurnel Singh, by an order promulgated u/s 144 CrPC prohibiting manufacturing, storage, distribution, selling, purchase and use of plastic carry bags and also plastic sachets/pouches for packing, selling of gutkha, tobacco and pan masala made of 50 micron thickness in the entire district of Tinsukia with immediate effect and will remain in force for a period 60 days.
