Agents of National Small Savings Agents Association, India to go on nationwide protest

Dibrugarh: The agents of National Small Savings Agents Association, India (NSSAA, I) will go on a nationwide protest from December 18 to December 20 in response to the negligence of the government regarding the deteriorating condition of the agents of NSSAA, I.

Agents from all across the country, including those from Assam, will take part in the agitation. Even the agents from the home constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi – Benaras -will join. During the period, the agents of the organization will refrain from all their operations at the post offices, and instead, adopt different democratic means to get their grievances aired to the Prime Minister through the respective MPs, DCs and media. The demands of the organization, among other things, include - dissolving the Shyamla Gopinath Samiti and forming a new committee in its place with representatives of NSSAA, I in it; increasing the commission of the agents and inclusion of the agents of NSSAA, I in the India Post Payments Bank.
