Ahead of 72nd Independence Day Celebration, A Meeting was Called by the District Administration at Haflong,Assam

Haflong, July 30: A meeting was called by the district administration to discuss about 72nd Independence Day celebration at Haflong. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Rajkhowa in presence of Superintendent of Police Prasanta Saikia and Col. Sumit Sood, Commander 43rd Assam Rifles. After a discussion it was decided that this year the venue for celebration of the Independence Day at Haflong would be shifted to the football field, 43 Assam Rifles at Sarkari Bagan near Kendriya Vidyalaya, Haflong. Due to the ongoing construction work of the stadium at the NK Daulagupu Sports complex, the venue was shifted to a different location. During the meeting, a briefing was given to all the representatives of the departments present and they were also assigned responsibilities. Others present were Major SK Yadav, 43 Assam Rifles, ADCs and assistant commissioners, secretary Z Nampui and other officials.
