Aid to meritorious poor student by ex-IPS officer

BAIHATA CHARIALI, June 16: At a meeting held on June 15 here former ADGP Phatik Dutta Goswami extended financial assistance to Manash Pratim Deka, a poor meritorious student of Adarsha Jatiya Vidyalaya, Bihdia, along with some other gifts. Interacting with the media persons, the former ADGP said that he had come to know about the poor condition of the student in the fortnightly, Naba Pratyay. He said that since then he had an ardent desire to meet the student. The former IPS officer also assured the student of providing him financial assistance for his education in the future. Manash Pratim passed HSLC examination this year securing 94 per cent marks. His father is earning his living with an auto rickshaw. The gesture from the former IPS officer is lauded by all in the locality.
