Ajmal flays Centre for handing over Red Fort to private party

Guwahati,  April 29: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has expressed utter shock and dismay over the Central Government’s decision to hand over the Red Fort in Delhi to the Dalmia Group.

In a statement, the party has alleged that the Modi-led Central Government has become a puppet in the hands of the capitalists. It has also alleged that the Government at the centre has presently drawn up plans to hand over all the historical, cultural and heritage sites in the country to the capitalist group.

“Instead of maintaining and preserving the historical sites by itself, the Central Government has taken to the task of handing over the same to the capitalists group/private parties. In the process the Centre is mocking at the rich historical and cultural heritage of the country. This can never be a positive sign for the nation,” said AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal in a strongly worded statement before the press.

Ajmal also alleged that the present Central Government is planning to hand over historical monuments like the Taj Mahal and Qutb Minar to the capitalist group. He went on to state that through this process the historical and heritage sites of the country would be heading towards sheer extinction and non-existence.

Ajmal has demanded of the Central Government to immediately withdraw the decision to hand over historical sites like the Red Fort to the capitalists and that the Union Tourism Ministry be allotted additional funds for due preservation of the historical, cultural and heritage monuments and sites of the country.
