Golaghat, May 4: Alleged police atrocities on students of Assam University in Silchar have been condemned by the Asom Jatiyabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP).
At a press meet held in Golaghat on Wednesday, AJYCP central committee president Biraj Talukdar criticized the State Government and police administration for alleged atrocities on students of Assam University in Silchar and demanded an inquiry and also punishment for the police officers involved in the matter.
Talukdar also said that it was a matter of concern that forest department personnel were also found to be involved in poaching. “There is a nexus between politicians, forest officials and poachers for which poaching of one-horned rhino is on the rise.
