AJYCP's Rongali Bihu in Kalaigaon on May 11

KALAIGAON, May 7: Kalaigaon Anchalik Committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) will celebrate Rongali Bihu on May 11 with a day-long programme in the premise of Kalaigaon Inspection Bungalow.
The Bihu programme will start with flag hoisting early in the morning on May 11 by Dulen th, president of Klaigaon AJYCP.
After that homage ceremony will be performed accordingly. The union will conduct a plantation programme across Kalaigaon town. On the occasion, drawing competition will be organized. Besides, senior citizens will be felicitated with colourful gamusa on that day.
Meanwhile, Ra Pratap Barua, general secretary of AJYCP will iugurate the open Bihu along with cultural rally on May 11 at around 6 pm. However, a cultural night will be also held. Several noted persons like BTC Speaker Tridip Daimary, EM Jagadish Sarkar, Circle Officer Dithakanda Hazarika, BDO Manoj Bania and OC Dimbeshwar Das will attend the festival as guests.
