All Arunachal Pradesh Government Registered Contractors’ Organization Rues over Notification

ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Pradesh Government Registered Contractors’ Organization (AAPGRCO) has expressed its dissatisfaction over the recent notification issued by the state government through the PWD department. The notification issued on October 1 was with regard to the amendment of the Arunachal Pradesh Enlistment of Contractors in Works Department Rules 2008. Stating that the notification is not acceptable, the organization said that they have been demanding for contractors’ registration and renewal fee should be as per the CPWD manual and rules. However, the state government through the notification have set Rs three lakhs each for both registration and renewal fee, it added. The union informed that as per the previous order, the registration fee for Class I contractors was Rs five lakh and renewal fee was Rs 1.5 lakh.
