YACHULI: In a shocking development, two former ASM and a public leader of Pistana circle under Yachuli constituency in an FIR lodged at Yazali police station on August 16 has leveled serious charges on local MLA, Likha Saaya of encroaching on government land falling under Circle Officer campus in his hometown Pistana.

The charge has been categorically rejected by the legislator on Monday as a “politically motivated” and " contemptuous” allegation to tarnish his hard-earned political image. The complainants identified as ASMs, Likha Tali, Toko Teti and a public leader Debia Tara in the FIR has sought action against Saaya for dismantling a PHED water Tank, occupying Circle officer official resident and encroaching its premises. Peeved over dragging his name into the issue, shocked Saaya has strongly denied his involvement in the alleged land grabbing case and affirmed to file a defamation suit against the complainants for unnecessary dragging his name in the case.

Admitting that the locals panchayat of the area in exchange of a 2 acre land that he voluntarily donated for construction of model school Pistana which was upgraded from middle to secondary level has recommended a plot of land somewhere else in the hills, Saaya however denied of sending any man or machinery for earth cutting in the plot of land in question as alleged in the FIR. "It is serious allegation and wrongly mentioned in the FIR that I resorted to land-cutting as I never send anything there to clear the jungle or whatsoever", he adds. Justifying his claims, Saaya said the Circle Officer Pistana itself is living example to tell that if he truly made unauthorized trespassing upon his official residence premises or not.
