On Friday, Perala Sekharjee who is a National Executive member of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that the party President Amit Shah has assured the members of the Telangana party that construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya shall begin before the 2019 elections.

On December 6, 1992, the Babri Masjid was demolished by lakhs of ‘kar sevaks’, who claimed that the land on which the mosque was built was the birthplace of Lord Ram. Currently, the hearing of this decades-old Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute is going on in the Supreme Court.

According to a BJP National Executive member Sekharjee, the President of the Bharatiya Janta Party Amit Shah, at a party meeting in Hyderabad, said that considering the developments, he believes that the construction of the Ram Temple will commence before the coming general elections.

On June 26, 2018, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh had assured religious leaders that temple would be built in Ayodhya. A day later, it was also pushed by the Union Minister, Uma Bharti, for the construction of the temple

Leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and BJP, including Murli Manohar Joshi, LK Advani, and Uma Bharti persuade the moment t to demolish the mosque. In 1990, Advani administered one of the many roadshows across India to galvanize support to have a temple built at the site of the mosque. In May 2017, bail was granted to Advani, Bharti, and Joshi, as they were accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case by a special Central Bureau of Investigation.

It is now for us to see, how the construction takes place as for that to happen demolition of a mausoleum has to take place first.
