Anti-tobacco rally in Golaghat district

GOLAGHAT: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the National Tobacco Control Project (NTCP), Golaghat observed the day by conducting an awareness programme with a day-long programme. Nodal Officer Dr Sunita Ekka said that NTCP had taken various awareness programmes in remote areas of the Golaghat district in order to control tobacco-caused diseases.

On World No Tobacco Day, the NTCP had carried out an awareness rally throughout Golaghat town from Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital, Golaghat, whereas students of Hindi High School, Phanidhar Bordoloi High School and Don Bosco School also took part along with the nursing staff. Later, a meeting was held at the GNM training hall under the presidentship of Dr Hiren Saikia.
