APCC celebrates Rahul Gandhi’s birth anniversary

Itanagar, June 19: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Tuesday celebrated the 48th birthday of party president Rahul at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, here.

APCC President Takam Sanjoy addressing the party cadres recalled the political history of Indian National Congress since 1885 and highlighted how Nehru-Gandhi family sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation since post Independence. “Gandhi has resonance not to fear but to fight for the right of the people, democracy and constitution of the nation, Sanjoy said and added that Rahul Gandhi is going to be the next Prime Minister of India and strongly appealed all the Congress workers to fight collectively against the evil forces those who are trying to divide the democracy and its constitution and make Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister in the 2019 General Elections.

After the programme, the APCC team along with frontal organizations and party workers went to City Mission School, near here to celebrate the day with the orphans and the downtrodden children.

At the school, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) General Secretary Jarjum Ete in her speech described in brief about the life of Rahul Gandhi and his political journey. She also remembered the great legendary leaders of India such as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and their contribution in nation building.

Sanjoy in his speech expressed happiness for celebrating the day with the children of City Mission School. He lauded the Managing Director, Management Committee and Teaching staffs for their sincere service towards building the future of the nation.
