APCU Submits Memo Seeking Protection For Working Journalists

TANGLA: In a bid to address the issues plaguing the journalists of Udalguri district along with ensuring proper protection to working journalists, a team of members from Udalguri chapter of All Assam Press Correspondents Union (APCU) submitted a memorandum to the BTC chief, Hagrama Mohilary and Executive Members of BTC through the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Udalguri on Friday.

The memo, with 10-charter point of demands, exhorted the authorities for formulating pro-journalist policies for the welfare and social security of the recognized journalists along with sanctioning of government land, granting loans with low interest and building journalist guest house, among others.
