19 Accused in Assam Public Service Commission Cash-For-Job Scam Remanded To Police Custody

GUWAHATI, July 19: The Court of the Special Judge on Thursday granted 11 days police custody to the 19 arrested on Wednesday in the cash-for-job APSC scam. Police had, however, sought 14 days custody. The Court rejected the bail petition of seven ACS, APS and allied services officials including that of Pallavi Sarma, the daughter of BJP MP RP Sarma. Meanwhile, the plea that the Investigating Officer (IO) does not comment on the issue in front of the media is slated for hearing on July 30.
