APSCW attends 2-day national meet

Itanagar, May 10: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) members attended the two-day national level meeting of all the State commissions organized by the National Commission for Women in Delhi on May 8 and 9.

The APSCW was represented by its member secretary Higio Yame and member Rosy Taba, a press release stated here on Thursday. The meeting mainly focused on the action taken on women hostel, skill development programmes for women and development of women entrepreneurship and condition of women in jails.

The programme also included sessions on cyber crimes, patriarchy and masculinity, gender, disability, home tourism, among others.

The APSCW team presented the works undertaken by them for the betterment of women and children.

Arunachal Pradesh is still in developing stage and added that with proper plan and its implementation by the State government, the Commission promises to do better work for women and children in years to come, the release added.
