MANGALDAI, Jan 5: To uplift the education standard and literacy rate in remote areas of Assam, especially in Udalguri district, the Army camp based at Chapai once again lent a helping hand to the students of Udalguri district. This time the unit organized a function under Operation Sadbhava and distributed study materiasl to the students of Kawadanga High School near Kalaigaon in district Udalguri.

The function was iugurated by the Officiating Commanding Officer from the Army Camp Chapai wherein study materials were distributed to the needy students. The project of provision of study material and essential furniture will facilitate children of poor background in gaining education and will infuse confidence in them to seek higher education and will in turn make them better citizens. It will help in connecting the younger generation to the mainstream of progress as they need to be weaned away from the path of hatred and violence and prevented from falling prey to the propaganda of insurgents.
