Army Havildar shoots himself to death in Tezpur

Tezpur: In an awkward incident, a body of an Indian Army Havildar was recovered at the campus of Indian Amry CITS unit in Sonitpur’s Chariduwara area on Sunday night.

As per local sources, the jawan (Havildar) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his own service Insas Rifle.

The deceased Havildar was identified as Bijay Shah reportedly shot himself down by shooting with his Insas Rifle from a very close range.

He was reported to be a resident of Nasik in Maharashtra.

The exact cause of the death had not been ascertained yet.
