Arun Jaitley writes to PM-elect Narendra Modi, opts out from responsibility citing serious Health Challenges

Guwahati: At a time when there is widespread speculation going in around the media houses regarding the upcoming cabinet minister’s list, Arun Jaitley on Wednesday writes to PM-elect Narendra Modi requesting him to keep him out of the New Government which will be sworn in on May 30th in New Delhi.

In the letter, Jaitley wrote about his serious health challenges. “I have had some serious health challenges. My doctors have enabled me to emerge out of most of them. After the campaign had concluded and you were leaving for Kedarnath, I had orally informed you that even though. I was able to discharge the responsibilities assigned to me during the campaign, I would in future, for some time, like to keep away from any responsibility. This will enable me to concentrate on my treatment and health,” says Jaitley in the letter.

Jaitley made a formal request to allow him a reasonable time for himself, therefore he opts out from responsibility for the present in the New Government.
