Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Convenes Meet To Keep Employees’ Morale High

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday convened an interactive session with the government employees of the Civil Secretariat and all directorate offices here.

Khandu on the occasion also launched the execution of satellite based monitoring and geo-tagging portal for all projects executed under the State Government and laid the foundation stone for the Zen Garden at the Arunachal Civil Secretariat.

He also handed over letter of appreciation including cash prizes to 99 awardees that comprised of government employees from different departments and Civil Secretariat in recognition of their meritorious services.

Speaking on the occasion, Khandu said the objective of the interactive session was to thank the government employee community for their yeoman service rendered and to accord due recognition of their service. He congratulated all the 99 awardees for their service to the people of Arunachal.

The Chief Minister further said during the two-month course of ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign carried out across the State, he had the opportunity to meet people, understand their feelings and expectations.

“The interactive session is a platform to elaborate on such expectations of the people to the government employees,” Khandu added. The Chief Minister said he understands that the government employees have the desire to perform and promised to provide the right kind of leadership so that they can give their best.

He said the employees are like the engine of the government and if they fail, the whole machinery will fails.

Khandu added that till he is in the chair, he will take all possible measures for the welfare of the government employees to keep their morale high. He said the State Government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of its employees and assured the demands put by them will be met gradually.

The Chief Minister also elaborated on the measures taken by the State Government employees such as TLA allowance, enhancement of retirement age, implementation of 7th CPC and other welfare steps.

Khandu congratulated the Department of Finance and Planning and State Remote Sensing Department for successful execution of the project for geo-tagging and satellite monitoring. He said satellite monitoring would bring transparency, better accountability and check corruption and enable effective quick decision-making.

Earlier, in his welcome note, Chief Secretary Satya Gopal said through this special interactive session, the Chief Minister wants to strengthen the bond amongst every member of Team Arunachal and encourage every government officer and official to shoulder the responsibilities as a perfect team and execute all the people-oriented schemes and programmes in a mission mode for the welfare of the people.
