Arunachal Governor BD Mishra Bats for more Kendriya Vidyalayas in State

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra has urged the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to initiate measures for opening up of more Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in the frontier State.

During a meeting with KVS commissioner Santosh K Mall at New Delhi on Tuesday, the Governor said more and more KVs in the State would help in better education for the youth of the State. The Governor, who recently chaired the presentation session by the ‘Placement Review Committee (PRC)’ of its final report to the State Cabinet at Raj Bhavan here, regarding placement in three premier institutes of higher education of the State – Rajiv Gandhi University, National Institute of Technology and North Eastern Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) – shared his observations to the commissioner.

The Governor also made the commissioner to talk to the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein for ironing out the local difficulties in the opening of the KVs in the State.
