Arunachal Pradesh: CM Pema Khandu flags off Mobile Water Testing Labs

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh today got two Mobile Water Testing Laboratory to ensure safe and potable water supply in rural areas.

The labs, which were flagged off by Chief Minister Pema Khandu here, are being funded by the state public health engineering department.

It will help onsite testing of different water quality parameters like pH, alkalinity, TDS, hardness, residual chlorine, ammonia, nitrite, fluoride and turbidity of water samples.

Congratulating the PHED Department, the Chief Minister said the mobile lab will travel across the state in quickly identifying the water quality problem on the spot at site. He said the rural population are not much aware about benefits of clean drinking water. Besides offering on-spot testing of water quality, the mobile lab will also spread awareness about clean drinking water. Khandu informed that the two mobile lab procured will spread out in eastern and western part of the state to cover all the rural areas. He also said the mobile van is equipped with all the latest facilities for effective surveillance of drinking water.
