Arunachal Pradesh: Students’ body lauds SP for Drive Against Gambling

PASIGHAT: All Bogong Students Union (ABSU-E) which has been fighting to make East Siang district a gambling free district of the state, on Wednesday extended their gratefulness to Superintendent of Police Prashant Gautum for serious note on the matter and issuance of an order to strictly check the gambling activities.

ABSU (E) President Lungkang Ering who is spearheading this crusade against the gambling in the district requested the state government to reward police officer like Prashant Gautum for his sincere work for the society. Earlier, while taking serious action against the gambling activities in the district, SP (IPS) Prashant Gautum had issued strict direction to all the officers to check out the gambling activities in their respective jurisdiction under the close supervision of SDPO Ruksin and Pasighat respectively on Wednesday.

In his order, it stated that no organization shall be allowed to organize any gambling activities in any form in the district, If any such gambling activities in found to be taking place it should be dealt strictly as per the provision of the laws, SP added.
