Asom Gana Parishad Candidate Demands Re-Poll in Jatinga

Haflong: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) nominated candidate Moril Masa demanded re-poll in Jatinga ME School polling station of No 2 Jatinga Constituency suspecting irregularities in voting by some people. Masa alleged that Flaming Shyla Rupsi, independent candidate from Jatinga constituency and also the gaon bura, after entering the polling booth, closed the door of the polling station from inside.

Moreover, a female election agent of AGP was allegedly beaten up by stick and also threatened by volunteers of Rupsi. Masa requested the authority to take stern action against perpetrators of such crimes. External Siangshai, BJP candidate from no. 2 Jatinga constituency, also made an allegation of booth capturing and condemned the incident.
