Assam Agricultural University Inter-College Sports Meet Gets Underway In Jorhat

JORHAT: Hrishikesh Goswami, media adviser to the Chief Minister, called upon the student fraternity of Assam Agricultural University (AAU) to work unitedly for the development of agriculture as 80 per cent of the country’s population depended on agriculture for their livelihood. He urged them to lead the nation in bringing about an agricultural revolution for the progress of the country.

Dr Kamal Malla Bujarbaruah, AAU Vice-Chancellor who was the guest of honour during the inaugural session of the three-day inter-college sports meet of AAU, urged the student fraternity to take part in the events in a professional manner.

Among others present were faculty members from various colleges of agriculture like colleges of Fishery, Veterinary Science, Sericulture and Agriculture. The College of Horticulture came first in the march past competition, followed by the College of Community Science and College of Agriculture in second and third position respectively.
