Assam boy Rituraj wins 2 gold medals in World Cup Shooting

GUWAHATI, May 1: Assam shooter Rituraj Singh produced an impressive performance in ISSF Junior World Cup and won two gold medals at Suhl in Germany today. Rituraj, hails from Guwahati, bagged individual gold medal in the men’s 25m standard pistol. He was also the part of Indian squad that won gold medal in the team event of men’s 25m standard pistol. The other members of the team are Shivam Shukla and Arjun Das. Among the trio, Rituraj (569 out of 600) who was in superb form today, scored highest points. India today also bagged another gold medal in the women’s 50m rifle prone competition and an individual bronze in the same category. The bronze medal was collected by Gaayathri Nithyadam.
