Assam Civil Service Examination (ACS) topper Maria Tanim felicitated

GUWAHATI: Assam Civil Service Examination, 2016 topper Maria Tanim was accorded a grand felicitation and cash award on Saturday at the ERD Foundation. Mahbubul Hoque, Chairman, ERD Foundation felicitated and handed over the cash award of Rs 50,000 to Maria Tanim for her outstanding performance in the competitive examination. Maria is the daughter of Kutub Uddin Barbhuya and Ismtara Barbhuya and she hails from Hailakandi.

During the function, Sailen Baishya, the coach and Director of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Centre for Coaching and Guidance (FACC) was also felicitated and awarded Rs 50,000 for his constant effort and dedicated commitment towards teaching and guiding the students. Addressing the ACS and UPSC aspirants and others present in the programme, Tanim said, “I am grateful to my mentors, and all the faculties for supporting me in my journey. I believe that having belief in myself, persistent effort, dedication and hard work paid me. I want to serve the state as per government rules with utmost integrity and honesty”.
