Assam Government To Appoint More College Teachers

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government Higher Education Department has accorded Administrative approval for filling up vacancy of 175 posts for Assistant Professors in two separate order letters. On June 17, 2019, the Assam Government sanctioned an administrative approval to fill up the vacant posts in 41 colleges of Assam.

In the first letter, 37 vacant posts of 10 college and in the second letter, 138 vacant posts of 31 colleges was ordered to be filled up. Director of Higher Education Anjali Saikia Baruah informed the colleges with vacancies about the education department’s decision to fill up the posts. She has intimated the colleges to submit documents and send out advertisements for the posts within seven days as per the department directives.

It is to be noted that on April 18, 2019, the Education Department accorded Administrative approval for filling up vacancy of 344 posts for Assistant Professors in 63 colleges of Assam and 39 vacant posts fill up for assistant professors in 10 colleges on May 15, 2019.
