Assam Gramin Vikash Bank Customers Unable to Transact Money at Customer Service Point

GORESWAR: Customers of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), Muktapur branch are facing a lot of inconveniences as the transaction has been stopped at the Customer Service Point (CSP) of Jatiya Bhangara in Kamrup district.

The people of Muktapur, Loch, Pub-par Lokkra, Lokra Barnagar, Mahajanpara, Jatiya Bhangara and Sepkochi villages had opened their bank accounts in the CSP of Jatiya Bhangara and deposited their money for the easy transaction. More than 4,000 people of 15 villages deposited their money in the CSP under the supervision of Ranjit Patowary but are now not able to withdraw the money.

The Hand Held Terminal (HHT) which was supplied by Senrysa Technology Pvt. Ltd. of Guwahati has not been functioning since October 8. The owner of the CSP informed the Muktapur Branch of AGVB about it but no step was taken to repair the machine.

The poor bank customers have not been able to do any transaction in the CSP since October 8 due to technical problems in the HHT. Beneficiaries of PMAY, job card holders and students who got scholarships have not been able to withdraw money. Other people also could not withdraw money during Durga Puja festivities.
