Assam lose to Bangladesh in T Ao soccer

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Bangladesh by 0-2 in the T Ao North East International NEC Soccer Championship tie at the LNIPE complex at Sonapur today. Tajuddin and Zaker Hussain scored one goal each in the match.

In another game at the same venue Mizoram hold Meghalaya 3-3. Saibor Nongram, Ronald K Nongleight and Frankie scored for Meghalaya in the match. Lalrem Ruata, Lalnun Tluanga Lubduga and D Laltlan Sanga were the scorers for Mizoram.

Meanwhile at the SAI Sports Field Sikkim thrashed KT United of Bhutan by 9-1. The result confirmed the exit of Bhutan from the group phase of the competition. Roman Subba scored hat-tric in the match while his teammate Sanjoy Chopel (2), Moman Subba (2), Sukraj Subba and Sanjoy Roy were also able to write their name in the score board. N Gawang Tample scored the lone goal for Bhutan outfit. In the last game at the same venue Manipur won against Tripura by 4-1. I David (2), Songpu Singsit and Ali Khan scored for the winners . Subir Deb Barman was the lone scorer for Tripura.
