BOKO, May 15: “Assam is not a dumping ground. The Assam Congress Committee stands clear against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. Congress will never accept any Bangladeshis in the State,” said Chaygaon constituency MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed during an interaction with media persons at Bahjani Kandalpara Lower Primary School under Chaygaon constituency during a foundation stone-laying programme for a new classroom construction under the MLA untied fund at the cost of Rs 5.3 lakh.

MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed laid total six foundation stones in six different places. He laid the foundation stone of the Kalahikakh Senior Madrassa School boundary wall under MLA fund to be constructed at the cost of Rs 3.5 lakh, Nowapara Public Field boundary wall to be constructed with MLA fund of Rs 5 lakh, North Bahjani Lower Primary School’s new classroom under MLA untied fund of Rs 5.3 lakh, two roads in Bahjani village under MLA fund of Rs 10 lakh and Bahjani Kandalpara Lower Primary School’s new classroom to be constructed under MLA untied fund of Rs 5.3 lakh.
