Assam Police Blues beat NFRSC, stay in title race

GUWAHATI: Assam Police Blues registered 4-1 victory against NFRSC in the RG Baruah GSA Super Division Soccer League tie at the Nehru stadium here today. The win helped Blues to stay alive in the title race.

Ratna Dev Rava opened account for Assam Police Blues in the 10th minutes of the match and they were leading by 1-0 in the first half. In the second half John Songate increased the margin scoring twice in 50 and 69 minutes while Mofidul completed the score line 8 minutes before the final whistle.

NFRSC reduced two goals through Sibra Narzary in the 48 and 59 minutes (from penalty) respectively.

With this victory Assam Police Blues are now in the second spot in the points table with 15 points from eight matches. ASEBSC, collected 18 points from eight games, are leading the table

There is no match tomorrow. In the next game, which will be of relegation round, FC Green Valley will face Sunrise Club on Sunday.
