Assam Premier Cricket Club (APCC) Begins In Morigaon

MORIGAON: The first ever Assam Premier Cricket Club championship-2019, organized by Assam Cricket Association(ACA) under Morigaon District Sports Association began today at Morigaon Khiroad Barua stadium. An inaugural meeting was organized here which was inaugurated by the Vice President of ACA Parikshit Dutta in presence of Vice President of MDSA Ranjanjyoti Gohain, general secretary Jitu Bordoloi. Altogether 9 clubs are participating in Morigaon chapter.

From Lakhimpur: Nakari Club won the inaugural match of APCC in Lakhimpur District defeating Rainbow Club by 8 wickets. Brief score: Rainbow Club 104/10 in 24.2 overs (Mangal Prasad 26, Jayanta Doley 5/18, Hrishikesh Bora 3/16) lost to Nakari Club 105/2 in 11.3 overs (Shubhen Du Guharoi 32, Biju Das 2/47).

From Tezpur: BR Academy beat New Friends Club by 34 runs in Tezpur. Ex Ranji cricketer Rajesh Bora inaugurated the match during a brief opening ceremony. Brief Score: BR Academy 170/10 in 35.4 overs (Suraj Talukdar 55, Kunal Gaurav Mandey 33, Hirak Jyoti Bora 25, Rocky Kundu 4/24) beat New Friends Club: 139/10 in 26 overs (Salim Khan 38, Derhasa Boro 6/26).
