Assam sprinter Hima Das in 400m Final at 23rd Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championship

GUWAHATI: Assam sprinter Hima Das entered into the final of women’s 400mts race of the 23rd Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championship in Patiala today. Hima, who ran in the 1st Heat in semifinals, clocked 53.40 sec to finish first.

However the timing may not ensure medal in the championship unless she improved her performance in the final as three other sprinters in the second Heat finished ahead of Hima in timing. Poovamma, made best timing in the semis, clocked 53.11 sec. She was followed by Sariraben Gayakwad (53.25) and Vismaya (53.27).
