Assam To Be Developed into a Shooting Destination

Assam Tourism Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press meet held in the city announced that the Tourism Department is making efforts to make Assam a film shooting destination. Brand ambassador of Assam Tourism, Priyanka Chopra recently took part in a three-day shoot across the state for various short ad films.

The minister expressing his contentment said that year after year the number of tourists visiting the state is increasing and developing every aspect of the state's tourism sector has become an utmost necessity.

The official ad film of Assam Tourism has gained massive popularity across the nation. The department plans to make several other short films depicting the beauty and culture of the region, since all details cannot be shown in a 30 seconds clip, added Himanta. The minister and the department is also making efforts to convert the state into a shooting destination where Bollywood movies of different genres could be shot.
