Assam worker killed in Kerela

SARUPATHAR: A worker from the Assam-Nagaland border of Dalanipathar in Uriamghat under Golaghat district was run over by a train at Kerela Railway Station when he was trying to cross the railway track. He had gone to Kerela for work.

According to the sources, the boy tried to cross the railway track at Kerela railway station when the unfortunate incident took place. The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Bhumiz, son of Nagen Bhumiz. After the incident, the GRP personal of Kerela requested Sarupathar police to inform the incident to the victim’s parents.
