At least 5 houses gutted in a devastating fire in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: At least 5 houses were completely ragged into ashes in a devastating fire that broke out at the busiest area of Jalukpara town on Sunday morning. According to sources, the fire first broke out at the residence of one Manik Dutta which later had engulfed the houses of Kanu Dutta, Ashis Ghosh , Sasanka Ghosh and others and within a short time all the houses were gutted. Though there is no loss of life, property worth of several lakhs of rupees were damaged in the fire. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire tenders rushed to the spot and after an hour battle they brought the fire under control.
