At least 503 third gender electorates to cast votes in upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from Assam

Guwahati: The Election Commission of India on Monday in a press statement had informed that there will be around 503 third gender electorates who will be casting their vote during the electoral process.

As per a report provided by the Election Commission, there are around 158 third gender electorates in Phase-I, similarly, in Phase-II there are around 181 electorates who are reported to third genders. And in Phase-III, there are around 164 third gender electorates.

It is quite interesting to know that out of 2,17,60,604 electorates in Assam, there will be around 7,06,489 young electorates in the age group of 18-19. These electorates will be casting their vote for the first time in their respective polling stations in the state.

In detail, it can further be stated that there are around 57, 08,688 which belong to the age group of 20-29, 56,69,525 electorates from the age group 30-39. Similarly, in the 40-49 age group, there are 43,04,485 electorates, in the age group 50-59 there are around 28,93,302 electorates, in the age group of 60-69 there are around 15,34,934 electorates, in the age group 70-79 there are 6,82,332 electorates and in the age group which includes electorates aging 80-above are 2,60,849.

It may be mentioned that the polling for the upcoming electoral process for Lok Sabha Elections in Assam will be held in 28,143 polling stations.

The Chief Electoral Officer further stated that the photo voter slip bearing the photo of the elector (wherever present in the roll) will be distributed at least 5 days before the date of the poll to all enrolled voters by the District Election Officer.
