ATASU demands resolution of various issues

Golaghat (Dhekial), September 19: All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) Golaghat district committee submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam on Monday in Golaghat demanding resolution of various issues in Assam. In a press statement, publicity secretary and joint secretary of the organization, Goutam Lahon and Pankaj Gogoi, stated that a delegation of ATASU met the Governor and submitted a memorandum. They demanded ST status to the community, preservation and decoration of archeological monuments of Assam, permanent solution to Assam-galand border dispute and making History a compulsory subject in schools.
