Atleast 50 Dead And Over 300 Injured In Multiple Blasts In Sri Lanka

Six explosions ripped through churches and luxury hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday morning leaving atleast 50 dead and more than 300 injured. Worshippers were targeted at the Kochikade, St Sebastian and Batticaloa churches during Easter mass. The other locations are Hotel Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand, and Kingsbury hotel. The blasts occurred at around 8.45am (local time) as the Easter Sunday masses were in progress in the churches. The Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo, where one blast took place is near the prime minister's official residence.
