Atletico's Juanfran sure of return to Spain team

Madrid, Sep 9: Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran Torres, who was excluded from the last call up of Spain’s football team, has said that he is confident of returning to the tiol team “someday”.

Torres said at a press conference on Thursday that head coach Julen Lopetegui said each player is master of his destiny and that he is convinced he will be back in the tiol team soon, reports Efe.

The 31-year-old, who played with Spain on 22 occasions, acknowledged that the new coach did not speak to him after making the first call up, adding that it is not necessary to do so. IANS
