Avijit leads vajyoti to victory

GUWAHATI, Feb 13: Avijit Singha Roy lead vajyoti club to victory in the 13th Jugal Kishore Newatia Invitatiol Cricket tourment held at the Nehru stadium here today. Rode on a half century from Avijit (67),  vajyoti club defeated Chandmari Sports club by seven wickets and entered into the semi fil of the championship. Chasing 141 runs to win vajyoti reached the target in 16.2 overs losing three wickets. Avijit took just 36 balls to score 67 runs with the help of 11 boundaries and one six. He got good support from Hrishikesh Tamuly who remained not out 24. Earlier, elected to bat Chandmari Sports club bowled out 140 in 37.1 overs. Mash Sharma (35) and Tranjing Gogoi (27) were two major scorers for Chandmari.
