By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 10: The family members of Avneet Singh Hora, who had died in Intertiol Hospital in Guwahati on February 15, 2016, have held the police responsible for investigation into the case not progressing. The family members of the victim have sought the intervention of the Chief Minister to speed up the case. Talking to newsmen in the city today, Mrilini Borbora, mother of Avneet Singh, said, "The FIR was lodged on February 18 this year at Dispur police station. Subsequently an inquiry was ordered by Kamrup(M) Deputy Commissioner. With the election coming in the middle, no progress into the inquiry is seen even today. Meeting the investigation officer and the DC we were surprised to know that the inquiry was slowed down due to the election. We moved various government departments seeking justice, and received response from a number of them."
