Award for Darrang Administration and Mangaldai Civic Body for Achievements in Online Services

MANGALDAI: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, in a function organized in Guwahati on Saturday, offered award to the Darrang district administration and Mangaldai Municipality Board for their landmark achievements in offering the services online through Common Service Centres (CSC).

Additional Secretary of Electronics and Information Technology, Pankaj Kumar, in presence of Executive Director of CSC, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi and other senior officials, offered a memento and a certificate of appreciation to Darrang Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman and Additional Deputy Commissioner (IT)-cum-Project Director of DRDA, Darrang, Pankaj Chakravarty. The ministry also offered a trophy and letter of citation to the chairman of Mangaldai Municipality Board, Pratap Bordoloi for becoming the first civic body of the north-eastern region to provide all the facilities and services online through the CSC. All the members of the CSC of Darrang led by District Project Manager, Jhanjashree Sarkar Mallik were also offered felicitation for their outstanding achievement in implementation of different services and schemes through CSC in Darrang district.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad also attended the function and closely interacted with the CSC team of Darrang in the function and appreciated the initiative of Darrang district administration and Mangaldai Municipality Board. CSC in Darrang is the only CSC of the country to supply fertilizers of IFFCO online to farmers at subsidized rate.
