Awareness drive on menstruation among students

GUWAHATI, June 10: Priyabondhu, an NGO, has started a drive for bringing awareness on menstruation among school students. To begin with, it opened a child library at Kailashpur Primary School in the Kahilipara area in the city on Sunday. It has provided the school an almirah with books. In order to inculcate the mindset of savings among school-goers, the NGO has also given coin boxes to the students of the school. During the past one year, Priyabondhu provided breakfast for the students of the school, besides distributing sanitary napkins amongst women and girls. It also conducted surveys on food habits so as to benefit the society.
