Awareness programme by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)

ITANAGAR, July 16: The 12th BN National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in collaboration with the district administration of Siang and Tinsukia on Monday organized an awareness programme followed by Swachch Bharat Abhiyan at community hall Rumgong under district Siang and Guijan High School Tinsukia (Assam), which was supervised by Ranveer Singh Pathania and Inspector Santosh Kumar. The objective of the awareness programme was to impart and educate the people about the disaster preparedness and to strengthen the disaster response at the grass root level.

During the awareness campaign the 12th BN NDRF personnel demonstrates about the life saving tactics and steps to be adopted while rescuing victims in case any kind of disaster occurs.

Briefing about the appropriate action to be taken during any kind of emergency during the disaster situation, SI Ranveer Singh Pathania (NDRF) informed that they are giving top most priority to impart knowledge at various regions including the schools and colleges. NDRF would also be organizing the same kind of awareness programme at different places from time to time so that community can quickly react to any kind of disaster before reaching of NDRF team. A total of 202 people had participated at Siang district while 135 participants participated at Tinsukia district.
