Awareness programme on cleanliness: Arunachal Pradesh

CHIMPU: The Polo Self Help Group (PSHG) organized social service and conducted an awareness programme on a clean environment, healthy living and clean river here at Polo colony on Sunday. PSHG is a non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working on various sectors for the people of the colony as well as the capital.

PSHG with the help of volunteers cleaned a few portions of Chimpu riverside that was dumped with garbage, plastic and other waste materials.

The organization also while interacting with the dwellers of the colony, requested them to maintain clean surrounding for healthy living. Further, various health problems faced or infected due to pollution of the river were also demonstrated on the day with a 5-minute long video.

BJP Mahila Morcha national executive member Ken Jump Panama, state Mahila Morcha secretary Tadar Ami Tech, vice president Osi Paboh, state in-charge Mahila Morcha Padmeshwari Jamoh, youth leader Taba Loma among others were present on the occasion.
