Awareness programme on conservation of biodiversity held in Morigaon

MORIGAON: The Himalayan Nature Learning Centre, Assam on Saturday organized an awareness programme on conservation of bio-diversity at Hornbill Park, Nellie under Jagiroad constituency.

The organization stressed the need of area-based learning as well as workshop regarding sustainable suitability of natural resources and to increase awareness about conservation of bio-diversity.

Earlier the programme was inaugurated by Subhas Das, DFO, Nagaon. Altogether 90 students from Pachim Pub Tharia High School, Kaliabor and Nellie Barpayak High School attended the awareness programme. Kuin Sarma, Programme Coordinator, Himalayan Nature Learning Centre, Assam, advised the students to conserve nature as well as wild animals. The man-animal conflict was also discussed in the programme.
